Anne Sullivan, Esq.

With over 23 years of experience in estate planning law, Anne Sullivan established Beyond Law LLC in 2021 with one purpose: to make thoughtful, comprehensive estate planning accessible to every family in the DMV region.

Before founding Beyond Law, Anne practiced for 15 years as Of Counsel at Handler & Levine, LLC, concentrating on estate planning and trust and estate administration. She earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Baltimore School of Law and a Bachelor of Science from Guilford College, and she served as law clerk to the Honorable Patrick L. Woodward of the Montgomery County Circuit Court in Rockville, Maryland.

Her approach combines rigorous legal expertise with genuine personal engagement. She takes time to understand not just the structure of your assets, but the dynamics of your family, your values, and your long-term goals. The result is an estate plan that actually works — one you understand, one your family can rely on, and one that truly reflects who you are.

Twice named a Rising Star in Estates and Trusts by Super Lawyers, Anne has also spoken for the National Institute of Transition Planning for over a decade. She is licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, serving clients across the greater Washington metropolitan area.
